Zalila or Zal as she’s known to her friends is probably one of the most underrated singer-songwriters in the Malaysian music scene. She’s considered by many to be one most talented individuals in the circuit, writing and performing songs that emphasise lyrics, rhythm and groove, a recipe she serves with equal parts emotion and intensity.
Zal has played at almost every acoustic avenue in town, including No Black Tie, Merdekarya, Publika Jazz and If Walls Could Talk. She’s currently working on upcoming releases and is a musical force not to be missed.
